- BPH - Significant improvement over last two years’ returns. Similar to recent 10-year average.
- URB - Strong return. 70% of the 10-year average.
- BUB - Similar to last year’s actual return. 66% of the 10-year average.
- PUB - Similar to last year’s actual return. 67% of the 10-year average.
- Total forecast of 366,500 Columbia River fall Chinook is greater than last year’s forecast and actual return. 74% of the recent 10-year average return of 494,300.

- 2007 return less than predicted and likely less than 35,000
- Near average return of jacks in 2007
- 2008 return should be better than 2007 actual return
Lower River Wild Stock - LRW
- 2007 return was one of the poorest returns on record
- 2008 return similar to 2007 return
Bonneville Pool Hatchery Stock - BPH
- 2007 return less than predicted and likely less than 20,000
- Strong return of jacks - about 40% greater than recent 10-year average
- 2008 return much improved over recent two years
Upriver Bright Stock - URB
- 2007 return continues downward trend seen since 2003 - near 100,000
- Jacks above average
- 2008 return should be greater than 2007 return
Mid-Columbia Bright Stock - MCB
- 2007 return less than predicted and likely less than 30,000
- 2008 return is likely similar to 2007 actual return
Total Columbia River Fall Chinook
- 2007 return of near 200,000 - poor return year
- 2008 return should be an improvement over 2007
